How You or Your Organization Can Get Involved
As this ministry operates largely from volunteers, you can also become a partner in supporting this vision. From your local church resources you can support this outreach ministry right here in your own home state through:

- Become a Mentor Partner

What is Mentoring?

Mentoring the Christian Lifestyle

- Volunteers dedicated to prison ministry
- Starts in the institution
- Initially very time intensive
- Mentors must be solid in their faith
- Generous with their time and love
- Understand the issues
- Area churches are the key

Mentoring

Love = Giving that which is most precious in our lives, Time! It is the most valuable asset we have to demonstrate the love of Christ !

Liberty = When we allow the Holy Spirit to work through us, we will demonstrate an arena of freedom to grow in Christ and watch Him give increase in their lives!

Lessons = Our life experiences help give practical wisdom and openness to their lives so they become more acquainted with God’s plan !

Requirements:

Confidentiality - Type of crime committed, treatment assignment from Director.
Accountability -To ACOM board, mentor staff and other ministry leaders, help the resident carry out his/her goals/plans for transition established by ACOM
Responsibility- Willing to help assist resident with daily tasks and other responsibities mentioned in the ACOM manual.
Partnering -Willing to act as a liaison between local support agencies {voc rehab, one stop, Aiken Tech, DMV} local Church Pastor, job supervisors.
Commitment- Work with the resident assigned to me for 1 year and realize for at least 6 months this will be the most intensive time requiring at least 3-5 hours a week of discipleship training beside Church services/activities.
Respect -Must be willing to give written or verbal notice to ACOM board, resident, or other team members if this covenant is broken.
